The Semi-Annual Scott Family Blog Update. Yes I know, you are not seeing things. I realized that A LOT of things have happened since last September when I updated. But oddly enough the most recent event in our house has to do with Ryan getting hurt, but I fill you in on that later. Since there is sooo much I guess I will start at the beginning.

October was a lot of fun. We decided to go all out for Halloween and dress up the entire family. So we pulled off "The Wizard of OZ." We had almost the entire cast from the Wicked Witch of the West to a Munchkin. The kids thought it was the funniest thing ever! Any ideas for next year?

November was pretty low key. We did celebrate our first one year anniversary in our home, and we are loving it!!! It's nice to not have the kids under my feet all the time. Especially when they are getting bigger and bigger. Some days I wish they would just stay little. We were able to celebrated Thanksgiving with some of our close friends.

December was a busy month. I had surgery at the beginning of the month which left Brent and some of my friends in charge of EVERYTHING for a couple of weeks. Everyone was FABULOUS and extremely helpful. We had a great Christmas. I have decided that my favorite part of Christmas is watching the expressions on the kids faces when they open a gift. It was also very fun when Mandy and her family showed up for a little visit. We didn't tell any of the kids that they were coming. The surprise was GREAT! Maybe next time we will head there way, :) (maybe I will give you a little warning)

January. I can not believe that it is already 2010! Seriously I am beginning to feel old! The most exciting thing for us in January was Kylie's 4th birthday. It really does not seem like she could be 4 already. She had a great princess birthday. She is our little princess.

And then just a few days later (in Feb) Brynlie turned 2. I know!!! My baby is two. Where has the past two years gone? She is growing up so much! It is so much fun staying home with the two little ones. They remind me so much of McKenely and Kaitlyn when they were this age. We also were able to have Grandma and Grandpa Lybbert here for the celebration. Which for us doesn't happen very often. My kids love it when grandma and grandpa come for a visit, cause they know we will eat at all the good restaurants and they can skip school. And it helps that they always bring an "extra" bag with goodies. A week after they left poor Kylie had her tonsils and adenoids removed. Her snoring and sleep apnea had gotten pretty bad. The Dr came out after her surgery and said that he had never seen tonsils that big. Before they took her back they gave her some medicine that made her a little loopy. It was soooooo funny!!! She was telling the story of the Three Little Pigs and was making the voices. The nurses we just laughing. She is just a hoot!

And now here we are in March. We started the month off with SNOW. Yep, you read that correctly. Now we do not get snow that often, let alone when it sticks! The kids thought it was AWESOME. Byrnlie and Kylie had never really seen snow before. Ty did not like how it made your hands hurt when they played in it. They had a great time building a snowman. I know it's nothing like the storm Aimee had, but for here we'll take it. Ryan also started soccer this month. He was really excited about doing something that didn't involve any of his sisters. And honestly I don't blame the kid. They won their first game. The sad part was that soccer came to a screeching halt when he broke his arm (I'll go into more detail later). Poor kid also celebrated his 7th birthday in a cast. Unable to really do anything fun, but we made it as fun as we could.

Now we find ourselves preparing for Easter. Who knows what the next few months will bring. Maybe I will even do better at updating this thing. Don't hold your breath. :)
<img style="float:left; This is how the conversation went:

"Mrs Scott?"

"yes"

"This is Pamela from Murchison. Ryan has fallen on the playground and has a cut on the back of his head. He is ok, but the nurse would like for you to come in.

"Is the "ok" code for, 'he is going to need stitches?"

"Yes, he is sitting next to me in the nurses office."

"Ok, I am not home and it will take me about 20 minutes to get there, but I will be as fast as I can."

When I got to the school Ryan was wearing a dance team t-shirt, cause his shirt was soaked in blood and he was white as a ghost. Luckily Kylie had a lunch in the car (cause she was supposed to go to playgroup) that we rummaged through for something to keep him from passing out, and off the the Urgent Care we went. Through it all Ryan was a very brave kid. They had to give him 2 staples, and they didn't even numb it first. I think he deserves ice cream.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeiJFFxuYg6KkNZ69ty3VUxp3NtGAR82z_GiHsOI0xvm31zpbdNX3-dEgZ67tBFMbagjkG_MT5bXF1xD3o_isucfcKFZKe5kXwadEFmnsJzuiGyxYYt1pO_J3iMeeMHa8GUk1ITsBIY_Bj/s200/100_2469.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379534949185377778" />Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-85739174643895309282009-08-18T20:04:00.000-07:002009-08-18T20:08:15.176-07:00Popcorn?They other day the kids asked if they could pop some popcorn. But, while we were gone they put in a "beach" area at one end. So the other day the kids and I decided to go check it out. I was a little bored, but the kids LOVED it. They had so much fun playing with the rocks and in the sand. The roped off area was nice cause it never went deep enough for the older kids to be under the water. When it was time to go they didn't want to leave, it took me 35 minutes to get everyone out. I definitely think that we will go again.Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-46509398951497884712009-08-18T19:38:00.000-07:002009-08-18T19:54:28.416-07:00Finally a PetLike so many other kids our kids have been BEGGING for a pet. I have been able to keep it at bay by saying "not until everyone in the house is potty trained." Well that came to an end the other day. When Brent was mowing the lawn the other day he came upon a den of little gray babies. I was a little worried. I spent a long time on the internet trying to figure out what kind of animals they were. Luckily, I determined that they were rabbits. I would have hated it if they had been mice, cause that would have been a delicate situation. Needless to say the kids have had so much fun watching them grow. McKenely named one Rosebud and Kaitlyn named one Rascal. They were pretty sad when they woke one morning and realized that they were gone. Fortunately we have more than enough wild rabbits around here to keep them occupied.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUJ2RpBO8suPOLssl4dC-c-bZ7mpqPCEIZfbzZp7Rd_Dw6S_f1MMfaphAj7MIAkHDGcdxd3Ay9mJx-q9n22BjOwJpWXc3t497LFylxiJvcUZl53hJYtFDzdp26HQmcxWgDBMtGxISG_ym_/s200/100_2451.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371502515124315346" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxOpjaDmC3rNxmYixh7Y-ipDTJMIqPdA1VCq6NJ7M-rp6YzB972BZ8wnrzxaRnbvMPJ15NccwtXigjrBJhDikqh02VX5UBwghdLs1aB0JHi6Ti_eP8LxrgXlfpzyMhjp8N8oP5p_cIOR61/s200/100_2441.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371502502177397170" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8hAFlKy5TJYCI1cAVfAqzlJhX1Lo1pZZh_dS5nhUf0V6qwMhJAG8pX502gvnoHNFc2yRBi7zbxbPtT1KEOihT5GHFpE3xzBruRTjJptkPwQqoS7l__oYyQ4APmgT953yVauyegqosXYBV/s200/100_2439.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371502489870226994" />Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-85842034208640301432009-08-03T17:01:00.000-07:002009-08-03T17:16:32.002-07:00Poor baby :(<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAq1HDq_YPv91ZURmLgMdd9ICtyvsIjQVfq6rmsuujij5fT4a1AWSiyvdvh1EQ1wxWvM8RIcYmEbjlDlelqpQnN_W_l8lREm2efXPW5nHhxOIpOLtVCuvq-5o8IgGZylggARZgytpmZaWY/s200/100_2416.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365895218096474978" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyJmHxQFBF6xqavsnyq8JmQbqxOsdSUrspKLhu4cTyvPxI62lMaKvghMaBqG4Fwr8Qb7cHWeKsNZND0croX7La4Dij-3E95J7E7HcmMI-FDIktuSuvkDq_FZMmtYbLvpsatVUK3-s9TaDJ/s200/100_2417.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365895216272378530" />
Our poor baby. Kaitlyn has started the process of braces - Yes, you heard me right. Our 8 year old is getting braces. We have have known for a while now that she would need work done, but why so soon?. I think the first signs were when her teeth started to grow in rows(like a shark). We soon found out that her mouth just wasn't big enough (that is debatable) for her teeth to come in strait. So we have begun the never ending journey. It started with her two bottom canines being pulled. So last Friday she had 1 cavity filled and 1 tooth pulled. And today she had 2 cavities filled and 1 tooth pulled. Poor girl. She can't eat anything except ice cream and yogurt (sympathy can end now). OH, don't think the story is over with. Tomorrow she gets spacers put in and fitted for an expander. It's going to be awesome!!!Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-7516717601149343522009-07-29T17:38:00.000-07:002009-07-29T19:25:12.692-07:00Wow! For the past 6 months we (that really means- ME) have been looking forward to this great family vacation. For those of you who didn't know we made a trek northward. Like always it was an adventure from the very beginning!!! Brent and I decided to take our time and split the drive up into three days. It started off really well, until we hit New Mexico. New Mexico HATES us. Something always goes wrong there. The first time we went we lost the transmission in the Suburban we had owned 28days. We spent 3 days in the middle of nowhere waiting on a new one. It was AWESOME!!! The second time I got strep and had a 104.3 fever and had to go to the emergency room to get a shot in my BUTT. Yeah it felt great spending the next two days sitting in the car. So, the entire time we were in New Mexico I was waiting for something to happen. On day two it looked like we might make it through without a problem. Wishful thinking. As we were heading to breakfast in the hotel lobby, Brynlie starts throwing-up everywhere! It was awful. Needless to say we found out that she had pneumonia. When we finally made it to Salt Lake City we spent a week just playing. We took the kids to Lagoon, Hogle Zoo, Temple Square, This is the Place Monument and then just visiting with friends and family. We even hit the 4th of July parade that I used to go to when I was a kid. I loved it! They even brought a tank down the middle of the street. It was unbelievable!!! The next week we spent with Brent's family. There is a HUGE field behind his parents place where we took the kids 4-wheeling, we cooked smores and tinfoil dinners in the fire pit. We had a great time, except the mosquito's were terrible. From Blackfoot we headed to Star Valley, Wyoming. There we spent 3 days with all of Brent's family. That includes 12 adults and 15 kids in one cabin. That was an adventure all in itself. After Brent's family reunion we headed to Island Park, Id for my reunion. Almost everyone was able to make it. Aimee's husband had just been deployed days before, Mandy and her family needed to stay behind. It was just to far to travel with the the twins, I am glad that they were able to make it to SLC. Abbey's husband is doing his residency and I needn't say anymore. Even though not everybody was there we had a great time. We went to Yellowstone where we saw old faithful, buffalo, elk, deer, pelicans, a bald eagle and a moose! The kids LOVED it. We also went to a fish hatchery, Mesa Falls and swam in a freezing cold river. We even did a family Olympics! After the great food and family fun we started the trek homeward bound. Trying to be the best parents ever we decided to head home a different way. When we hit Kansas we couldn't find a place to stay. The kids can now say that they have spent a full 36 1/2 hours in the car, non-stop!!! For those of you who are curious sleeping in the car is not comfortable. I don't recommend it. Needless to say, we made it home safe and sound, and VERY grateful to be out of the car!!! Here are some pictures of our trip. All of the kids did enjoy the cool weather and the Beautiful mountains. All McKenely wanted to do was climb a mountain. So I drove as close as I could and let her have it. I hope this will be a memory that they will never forget.
<img style="float:left; Yes, I know that I am a slacker. Here are a few of the pictures from Ryan's 6th birthday. It was a very eventful day. We have the tradition that the birthday person gets to pick a place to eat for their dinner, (it makes it a special day for me too). And surprise surprise Ryan picked Mexican. So as we were loading up the kids to go out for dinner when we noticed that the sky had gone black. I flipped on the news and found out that we had a sever thunderstorm with softball sized hail heading strait for us.

So we had to scrap dinner plans and figure a way to get the cars in the garage. So while Brent worked on getting the garage done I whipped up some dinner. Dinner turned out great and Ry had his Walle cake. My car made it into the garage, but Brent's wasn't so lucky. The hail pelted us pretty hard. Our garage door and Brent's car look like golf balls. It caused $15,000 in damage to our new home. Yes, those numbers are correct. Thank heaven for homeowners insurance!!! Needless to say Ryan will never forget his birthday.Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-4357170775390284962009-06-11T13:02:00.000-07:002009-06-11T13:14:16.382-07:00It's about time....Okay!!! I will get to my blog. Stop harassing me! I know that it has been forever since I have posted anything- but I am soooo busy. For instance it's Thursday and I have babysat 3 times this week already.

Things have been very busy here at the Scott household. Last week the kids had their last day of school. Yeah!!!! I was really excited about not having to set my alarm, but I am realizing 5 kids can DESTROY a house in under 10 minutes (I think I would rather set my alarm). Now don't get me wrong, I love my kids. What I don't love is picking up after them. I am all about "Daily Duties". I guess we'll see how this works out.

So far our summer vacation has been a lot of time at the pool. Since our neighborhood pool isn't finished we rely on the kindness of our friends. But luckily we will be heading north to visit family in the next two weeks. I think it will be a lot of fun, Brent is coming around. The kids are excited to see all of their cousins. We are also looking forward to Kaitlyn's 8th birthday in 9 days, and also her baptism. I can't believe how fast these kids are growing up.

And that's what's happening here in Texas :)Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-58162749502292233522009-04-10T11:20:00.000-07:002009-04-10T11:27:43.470-07:00Computer Savey?NO, I am not computer savey. I get to frustrated when things do not work out the way I want when I want them to. I will tell you an example if you promise not to laugh (Kristin). I have been trying to change the background on this blog for about a week now. The first time I did it I wasn't really paying attention and now I can't remember. And yes, I did read the directions. It is still not working. So I just give up and come back to it a couple of days later, and the process just keeps going. I have seriously considered taking a computer class at ACC. And then I remember that I don't even have time to do laundry when would I do that. So be patient while I figure this stuff out :)Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-82070952018436324782009-04-03T13:26:00.000-07:002009-04-04T07:30:53.406-07:00One Heart Umbrella CampainSo I know that most of you know about my nieces, but for those of you who don't know let me fill you in. I have 2 year old conjoined nieces. They are attached at the breastbone to the belly button. They each have two arms and two legs. They are very precious. ok, the reason for this little dialogue is for this: I was reminded today about a fund raiser taking place right now that I think is SOOO COOL!!! It is OneHeart Umbrella Campaign. The Chair of this campaign is the one and only Debbie Reynolds!!! How they got her to do it is beyond me. But this is the deal, they have recruited celebrities from all over the place (movies, tv, sports, and theater) to help out. Such celebs as : Jessica Alba, Kevin Bacon, Sean Astin, James Brown, Joah Groban, ASU Suns Basketball Team, The Phoenix Suns, Alice Cooper, HUGH JACKMAN, Michael Phepls, Cast of the Today show, the cast of: The Phantom, Singin in the Rain, Chicago and sooooo many more!!!!! When I read through all 75 participants I was amazed!!!. And what they have one is signed and decorated umbrellas. Now the purpose of all those umbrellas is this, they are being auctioned off on ebay!!! Is that not just the coolest thing ever!!! I am amazed at the generosity of others. It reminds me that there are good people out there. If any one is interested you can look them up on ebay or via google. Just google "oneheart campaign". And you can bid online through ebay. This really is an amazing thing to be part of.Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-2983222901177074572009-03-05T19:58:00.000-08:002009-03-05T20:26:01.694-08:00Tooth Fairy Needs A Bailout!!!So I am trying to figure out if it is normal for kids to lose a tooth two days in a row. But in our house it did, for two kids!! In the past two day's McKenely has lost two teeth and Kaitlyn has lost TRHREE!!! I don't know how she has enough to chew. The funniest part is that Ryan can't understand how their teeth could be so rotten to the point that they are just falling out. I love that kid!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9m6DC3Vo_z99BPh70RJEoudZUDzzPKn3EkVGNh3av8KmcszhWIb1_fRvwU90prr1DbjjC62n25bTpqDh7FFLnoKCLPpYttylqw2lzimgonV_9YGHsiW5rummmg7BtkxYWgusyx5fKz8h4/s320/100_1967.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309920895575406338" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWjOrEEVVFPo9OGvQvP2BOsOdTxPWXRMjbr4IG99lfN0Plt59FO622EqPfGB_jDcw55PAM44xxaMCapEl6v0PxARDtv546niH-2BbaD-YbIv7pN5qmdhHTBniPpMBNQR8oB9f1RQQlgjKF/s320/100_1966.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309920883850144354" />Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-66819660629258742122009-03-03T20:25:00.000-08:002009-03-03T20:56:42.955-08:00Two Sister's One Heart<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 220px; height: 157px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF-juitqzsjuJ_c6QxA8AlBxCl-dnRT9uvAFaADCZ3vkXMqPyXQ2wRb73rteVvfkxBirRqpAoMeI5NIGPvYKGtlMyewM28aLyfh0ZqH1reuB8ClnW3LGbdIQBwOybRlIdWef2cxGy9lYr7/s320/IMG_8269a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309191829433587218" />

As you all have noticed I have been trying to update our blog. When I sat down to write about one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had, I couldn't think of what to say. Fortunately for me I have a wonderful sister who has a way with words. I hope you will take the time to read her blog. There is a link to it on off of mine, The Calvert Family.

What I do want to say is this, throughout my life I have seen the tender mercies of the Lord touch my life and those of my family. I have come from a wonderful family. For those of you who don't know I have 2 brother's and 4 sister's (and a mom and dad :)). We have always been close, but it is amazing to me to see how we have changed over the years. We have all grown, started families and moved all over the country. But whenever there is a need I know I can count on all of them to come through for me. Our challenges have only made us stronger. I am grateful for my wonderfully crazy family.Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-6610705147148588302009-03-03T15:18:00.000-08:002009-03-03T15:27:14.856-08:00Is this really happening?Do you ever have those moments when you think to yourself,"is this really happening?". And it's never accompanied with,"you've just won the lottery!!" or " we screwed up, here's $100 gift card for your trouble." Nothing like that. It's usually more along the lines of, " but officer I thought it was 45" or " CRAP!!!". Like today it went something like this, "I am not watching water gush out from under the bathroom door. CRAP, water is gushing out from under the bathroom door!!!" Luckily for me my 3 year old felt like she had it all under control. Phew, I was worried for a bit.Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-28315175571130975172009-03-01T20:06:00.001-08:002009-03-01T20:44:27.428-08:00Oh How We LOVE Birthdays!!!!We have recently (when I say recently I mean in the last two months) celebrated two birthdays! I can't believe how quickly my two little girls are growing up. Sometimes when I look at Kylie and Brynlie I remember McKenely and Kaitlyn at the same ages. In January our Kylie turned 3!!! Can you believe it, cause I can't. We partied from dawn til dusk. She was a "Princess" all day. She also helped make her birthday cake. All she wanted as a pink cake with dot's So I delivered!!! We had a great day. Her favorite gift was a Sleeping Dora that talks. She is growing up so fast. Sometimes I ask her if she will stay my little girl forever. I sure LOVE her!!!!

In February we had Brynlie's 1st birthday!!! When we first found out the she was coming it took a while for the shock to wear off. We never planned on having a fifth. And then when she finally arrived, that was an adventure all in itself (Thanks Dr. Irvin, your the best!!!). We have loved her smiles, giggles, chubby legs and her HUGS!!! So I thought I would do my 3 month update!!! I hope that you all enjoy.

Where to begin? I am going to have to go all the way back to Christmas, I know it is really sad. A real quick update : Everyone's favorite toy. Mckenely, Kaitlyn and Ryan all got Nintendo DS's. They LOVE them. It also works well as a punishment (Brent and I thought about that before we bought them.) Kylie got a tent and a Tinkerbell blanket w/pillow. Brynlie just loved playing in the wrapping paper. Brent and I got Bikes!! It's so we can get our bodies working again. The kids also got a TEE PEE from Grandma and Grandpa Scott. Yes, they shipped it regular mail. I wish I could have seen the mailmans face.

For those of you who didn't know Brynlie is now walking!!! She started in December, but by January she had it down. And she is stinkin FAST! I just can't keep up with her. I was able to travel to Arizona to run in a fundraiser for my nieces, Emma and Taylor. I knew it would be an adventure when I was getting ready to leave Austin. It was about 10 minutes before boarding time when my name was called. Of course my first thought was "crap, what are they going to say now. I have to get to Phoenix today." To my surprise they had over booked my flight and wanted to put me on a different flight. So instead of flying to SLC and hanging out for an hour, they wanted to put me on a direct flight that got me in Phoenix 3 hours early. HOORAY!!! It was a great flight.

It was the return flight where all the excitement began. It started out as a typical flight, except the University of Minnesota basketball team was on board (I felt like such a shorty standing there). They were all very nice. When I got to my seat I was next to a window. I thought that would be good so that Brynlie could look out the window. I didn't know that would mean I was TRAPPED!!! When Brynlie fell asleep I thought the flight would go great. It wasn't until she woke up projecting vomit that I began to worry. It stunk so bad. I was very grateful that I had those tiny diaper disposable bags. I had to sponge bathe her in the airplane bathroom. It was awesome!!! When I landed in SLC I had to buy new shirts for the two of us. I was prepared to wait the 1 1/2 hours for my next flight. What I wasn't prepared for was the 5 hour delay. When they came on the intercom and announced that the battery in the plane was needing to be replaced. That was the first red light. When they kept coming back every 20 minutes to delay us 20 more. Luckily Brynlie was a great baby :) When we finally boarded the plane, 4 hours late, I thought it would be a smooth ride. While sitting on the tarmac Brynlie decided I hadn't had enough excitement so she puked again, all over me. I seriously wanted to cry, but I couldn't because everyone was watching me. I just picked her up and headed for the bathroom, again. Everyone was so nice. There was a pediatritian on board who came and checked her out. she had drank some milk that did not agree her. We made it through the rest of the flight without incident. When we finally landed, at 2:15, we were both seriously in need of a shower. It was the longest day EVER. And what did we get for our trouble..... a bag of chips and a cup (not a can) of soda. That made the day all worth it.Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-38739460214284698052009-02-05T12:49:00.000-08:002009-02-05T12:50:40.030-08:00Dinosaur RiddlesThe answer to the riddle is :

"pre-hysterics"Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-43474658736738955392009-01-29T13:26:00.000-08:002009-01-29T13:36:59.305-08:00Dinosaur RiddlesSo Kylie and I found this book of Dino riddles today and I thought it would be fun to post one every week to see what answers people come up with. McKenely recently tried out for her schools Geo Bee. For those of you who don't know a GEO Bee is a Geography Bee. She was one of 17 students who made it on to the final round. She didn't make it all the way, but for her first year she did REALLY well!!! She also did her very first Science Project. She came up with the idea of growing crystals. Brent helped her with her project and I helped her put it all together. She was VERY excited when she came home and told us that she got first place!!! There were only 3 4th graders who received first place. She has also been invited to attend The Austin Science Festival. We are very excited and proud of her success. (Who would have thought that a child of mine would do well in science!!)Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-80080406455651688192008-12-22T19:05:00.000-08:002008-12-22T20:32:40.136-08:00Okay.....Okay I got the hint! Everyone can stop harassing me. I am updating our blog. So much has happened since I last updated the blog. So I will start back and move forward. In September the kids and I met up with Char and her sister at the Waco Zoo. It was so much fun!! We saw some really cool animals.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC-qPNmokyUHuPY9ZtQBK-LfSZBXJkMw9tU-CJ3rCInPqHieI_yQr9lqaROuLqVoEGtYanYFTKyCSZAWxUIdTRH2dvjmWrGjqlUh-ctiGVsXomfVdEVC0oYU0ljrW8N8JC2qtJNl-SCdaH/s320/100_1752.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282824314161165250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXNL2nHZBcqDmvwYjhAUsfgm3y7ZQ5_eIsQIFAhrpOpdfBr8Ghfm70khtcclTU4lNDjDydpX6oVbYXCgjlrS5veMJx9QT00LNU9i7AezGLzgM64wMBAYRzS5a90cuwXZ0VcKf5cVPN3-Cq/s320/100_1750.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282824307134214898" />
We also had a great time on Halloween. The kids had a great time dressing up and going trick or treating. Kylie loved dressing up!! She picked out her own costume. I tried to convince her that she wanted to be Snow White, but it didn't work. She has a mind of her own.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBhDuff_XPUB8kg_2FzMr8qguCr56GLhUU61P3eSeJtGGHI4HAib68XNPe2cg_wNvct44yVSgyueWdlU2kRotFJNPG1mQcoX9ClqlVWV7j7l_pKAsAuKedcLxVIIr9mqOLy1cz-lbyGQeL/s320/100_1796.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282826398577209874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKjJH77AM0IP_eFS4fXpknrq5R-Mya7_QeJcoWXiLiFx8Z4FUl2SyLF56ULljHTwnk_O-Ol1k828kgRsesyv9gGmbItox9yNIPpyWqCyAd9A7veuGE0M5ZKZHppw4e_EUyU6vK0s6TmNgh/s320/100_1793.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282826390160613682" />
The kids have really had a fun time playing and having fun together. It was fun watching their imaginations fly as they would come up with new games and new ways to play together. It is one of the joys of being a mother when you see your kids love playing together. I had to add this picture of Kylie. She fell asleep in the middle of dinner. We have enjoyed getting ready for the holidays. We also loved having Grandma Lybbert here for a week. She was willing to come and help us out while I had surgery on my foot. It was so fun and very helpful having her here since I couldn't walk or drive for over a week. It was comforting to know that everyone was being taken care of. We went to the Zoo and had a great time. Each of the kids were able to see their favorite animals. We also enjoyed a train ride through the park area around the Zoo. It was a wonderful day!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR-skD-MvmG0UQHQUO-rKJcXjTzqZO1NDK-U2Us4X-kPl5r4L769kIsavcF7ZD2aiVrnYR92awe6prpMdBXI8mG2QVKQIgzCd3_NLso_wPvZakETA5tvLLaeMjq_g4O4NRLJP3Zmze7EWK/s320/100_1731.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249788500976273618" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZn93a7wklUavBNenT4TJoK-jZBzZsbl3mXS2xb31BO0RoT_HZBoLr_7vvmm5L_dHMVnFm_cnagsW3GMLNgRUrFEO5pWK9yvQGcb6rrRFUyetyU4c-OILLgIgrcbV30axesrcoCPWqVh2M/s320/100_1732.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249788507986847986" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixPBkIjOyyLgwTQ6uD0v_W46kc6U8cO-AiXs1Wz6uBLMI48cCvfSzc7EQg-SykPbPgqy8ddW4nPlfnDejI_xXX8MKUdLavivt_ZejmuWjJxVTNtSNyK-PX991oXQ4MDokBhZ7zRoajgrov/s320/100_1736.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249788512348751762" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOQEcH27vJ15GkdYSD7UaNn5WlvslvjkwOiUb4CRzsVI0LeKn6gL-F8q01hRRGrhoaRDd7e-L1cQmyUx_cugdCocA2X9sJt_4bKeuz-cgMXpPXy-CEP1jXe0pZpbebw4zfXhIquTecaStM/s320/100_1739.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249788515596272242" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwr-VPpGnkn11Nx49rv-6zFLKxdysxXzt50eFGrVowjocMqVh30edwzlAvqHZDW3Ath1Uka6wz1IyR3iGynFbWVRuMUD0HPfzE4zjq4DyDeyA5T0qzwErP30V9nPR25bBfoKLIr49D0jPm/s320/100_1741.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249788527901394706" />Scott'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14578030138351544391noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284557333616879151.post-17413871304949901232008-09-24T19:35:00.000-07:002008-09-24T19:47:04.593-07:00Dinner and a Movie<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwiKEKURpiOKT9q8PtG-O_L4ekdJwv9j5J_7VIHh_JDg225BPj1N9QrpYt-OddySo28wB7OCvnFP9sLadp6iKVI1EAH9qQCXpAZmSal75_qe7uLJlN1Rt0D5k3JoQmyJ0KNHTQ9uWfQ9TE/s320/100_1727.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249784819364942098" />
This is how we enjoyed our Sunday evening. We have been amazed at how fast it is coming along. It now has tile, cupboards, railings, paint and bath tubs. We LOVE it!!!
