Okay I got the hint! Everyone can stop harassing me. I am updating our blog. So much has happened since I last updated the blog. So I will start back and move forward. In September the kids and I met up with Char and her sister at the Waco Zoo. It was so much fun!! We saw some really cool animals.
We also had a great time on Halloween. The kids had a great time dressing up and going trick or treating. Kylie loved dressing up!! She picked out her own costume. I tried to convince her that she wanted to be Snow White, but it didn't work. She has a mind of her own.
The kids have really had a fun time playing and having fun together. It was fun watching their imaginations fly as they would come up with new games and new ways to play together. It is one of the joys of being a mother when you see your kids love playing together. I had to add this picture of Kylie. She fell asleep in the middle of dinner. It was pretty funny:)
In October we finally closed on our new home. We have waited for many years to get into a new home. We truly felt blessed when we found this home. It has everything that we needed, plus the things we wanted. We are very grateful for everyones help in helping us move. We couldn't have done it alone. Everyone was pooped by the time we were done.
We did have a great Thanksgiving. We had some friends over and had enough food to feed an army! Brent just couldn't get enough!
Brynlie has really been growing! We can't believe that she is almost 1. She has started to take steps. She is staring so much younger than any of the other kids. But we love her beautiful smiles!! You can help but smile with her.
SNOW!!!! We actually had snow. It didn't last long, but the kids were thrilled to see it.
And now that brings us to Christmas. We have enjoyed getting ready for the holidays. We also loved having Grandma Lybbert here for a week. She was willing to come and help us out while I had surgery on my foot. It was so fun and very helpful having her here since I couldn't walk or drive for over a week. It was comforting to know that everyone was being taken care of. Kylie loved helping grandma set up the decorations, well at least she started out helping.
So that brings us up to date. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years! We miss you all and wish we could be with you to celebrate. We also hope that none of you freeze wherever you may be. :)

Watching her bloom
What else could go wrong.......
So, it has taken me a while to update everyone on the ongoings of our family. Life has been pretty crazy over the past month and a half.
For those of you who did not hear. The first week of August Brent was playing church ball. He had been playing pretty well all night and as the night was drawing to an end he thought he would finish off with a "sweet move." Little did he know that it would be the last "sweet move" he would make. When he called me on his home I thought that he was joking and that it really couldn't be that bad. It wasn't until the Dr. said that he had torn his ACL and cracked his meniscus that I realized that this was bad.
Brent had surgery on Sept. 3rd. He was very nervous for the surgery, (but he should have been more nervous for the recovery). The surgery went well. The ligament was replaced by a cadaver (Brent did request one from a Jamaican). When we left the surgery center they sent us home with some pretty cool equipment. One is called a CPM, it basically moves his leg for him. The other is a Polar Unit, which constantly rotates cold water keeping the swelling down. Pretty cool stuff.
Even though he was totally drugged up he still continued working.
When I was bringing Brent home we were prepared for almost everything, but not for what waited us at home. Our street had been blocked off because of a fire. In the back of the house we are renting there is a grassy revine that is there for flooding purposes. And there had been a fire. Luckily for us it stopped at our neighbors back fence. The police wouldn't let me pull into our driveway. The closest that they would let me get was in front of our neighbors house. The police and firefighters watched me as I helped Brent, carried the machines and Brynlie into the house. Not one of them offered to help. Whats up with this public service crap.
So once we got everyone settled I thought that everything was going to settle down just a little. But that would be too easy. Ryan started running a fever of 103.6, and I am not joking. And that is where the real fun began. A stomach virus hit almost everyone in the family. McKenely is the only one who has so far not been taken down sick. We are really keeping our fingers crossed that she won't. Cause it sure is a doozey.
So, to make a long story short don't knock on wood cause it will get up and smack you in the butt, (or the knee).

Little thoughts...
*So Brent and I heard the funniest thing tonight. And this is how it went:
Ryan: "Girls let me in, let me in!!!"
and then there was a small pause.....
"huff and puff (and then he actually tried to blow the door down)"
We laughed so hard!!!!!
*So, I am pretty new to the world of blogging. And I don't really know what I am doing. It's kind of learn as you go, and some of you have really cute blogs. So share the wealth!!! I need to learn all the tricks so that I can be as cool as you all :)

Already 6 months old
It is hard to believe that our little girl is already 6 1/2 months old. She has been a very pleasant baby. We love her beautiful smiles. They take up her entire face. She is starting to move all over the place. Everyone loves holding and playing with her. It is hard to see her grow up to fast. I wish that I could slow her down, and then fast forward through the teenage years. Is it possible? Is there a magic formula? We should patten one, we would be RICH!!!!! We wish you all could be here to see her grow. She is truly a happy and beautiful baby.

The First Day of School
So the time has finally come for the kids to start school. They had their first day on Tuesday, and it was a really early morning. I (because my husband is crippled) had to get the kids up at 6:30. No one was prepared for that! Luckily the morning went off without a hitch. The girls were a little nervous to be starting a new school where they didn't really know anyone. But it turned out that they both had someone from the ward in their classes. What a relief!!! The hardest part was sending Ryan off. It was actually harder than it was when I took the girls for their first times. He looked a little nervous, but gave me a kiss and hug at the door and went to play with playdough at his desk. I was having the hard time. How could my little man be big enough to start school? He is growing up waaaaaaayyyyyyy to fast. All three of them had a great day at school. And I do have to admit that it was nice only having the two little ones at home.
Summer time!!!
McKenely's Birthday!!!
This past weekend we celebrated McKenely's 9th birthday. She had a very good day. We all went to go see a movie, KungFu Panda, and then out to dinner. She was very excited about all the mula she received from her grandparents, a total of $30 (she is saving for a laptop:) ), and also a picture of Paris. Her favorite gift was the little green earrings she picked out when she got her ears pierced. She has not stopped thanking us. We wish that you all could have been there to celebrate with us.
A neverending story
So we are waiting for things to settle down, but it doesn't look like it will be any time soon. For those of you who may not of heard, Brent is no longer allowed to play basketball. EVER!!!! Due to the fact that he keeps ending up on the operating table. About three weeks ago Brent was playing ball with his friends and he was getting ready for a "pretty sweet" move when he realized his knee shouldn't bend sideways. He ended up tearing his ACL and cracking his meniscus. He will be going under the knife on Sept. 3rd. Since the ligament is completely destroyed he will have one donated from a cadavor, (he did request a Jamaican, cause they are so fast!!). The surgery won't be too bad, but the recovery on the other had is going to SUCK!!!! We were told that it would be a 3-4 month recovery. And for those of you who are doing the math we are moving in 1 month. SO when you figure the answer, let me know :)

Who will I marry?
The other day in the car McKenely and kaitlyn were teasing Ryan about some girls in our ward that have crushes on him. They were trying to figure out which one he would marry. After yelling at his sisters to leave him alone he turns to me and asks,"Mom, who am I going to marry? How will I find her?" to which I quickly responded,"When you get home from your mission, then I will tell you her name."

Ryan's new dew....
What to do in the summertime?
Well, the kids were so bored, and HOT, one day that they found there own way to cool down. I was inside fighting my nemesis, the washing machine, and went to find the kids and they had found there own way of cooling off. They filled the little swimming pool and got in fully clothed. They had so much fun, but they have asked more than once to go to Aunt Mandy's house. Apparently it is more fun to swim in their pool than ours. I can't figure out why... (If you are wondering who won the battle, it was the washing machine. I always lose.)
Watching it grow!!!
So it has been a while since we have put up any pictures of our house, so when we went out a few days ago we were pleasantly surprised. The brick work on our house was totally finished. Now all we have to wait for is the inside. They will be starting the sheet rock on Tuesday. We are trying to be patient and wait. We are starting to count down the weeks:)

Kylie's perfect smile
Our little blue house...:)
The house is coming along. The blue wrap you see is an additional wrap they do to the house in order to get that 5 star energy efficient rating. Also the roof OSB has solar board paneling on the underside which acts as a radiant barrier. It is supposed to reflect 97% of the radiant heat from the sun.....EXCITING!!!!
